How to install Moodle using Softaculous installer in cPanel

Please follow below steps:

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Create a domain for the Moodle website.
  3. Go to SOFTACULOUS APPS INSTALLER section of the cPanel home screen, click on Educational under Categories. The Softaculous installer page appears with all Educational apps.



  1. Click on Moodle, Install page appears as below.


  1. Click on Install Now, Installation page appears. Now select the required version, domain, and other options as required.


  1. Now add the site details and admin user details as below.


  1. Choose Language and Database name and details.


  1. Review the installation options and settings, and then click Install.
  2. When I trying to install I got this error message as “Required PHP extension not found : fileinfo”

  1. To add PHP extension go back to cPanel home screen and search as php.


  1. Now click on Select PHP version and check fileinfo option and click on save.

  1. Now again click on Install.
  2. When the installation is complete, Softaculous provides information about the application's configuration.
