Acquia Dev Desktop is the fastest way to set up and run Drupal for local development on your Mac or Windows PC. This is just some of the common features and is neither a complete list nor a significant portion of the complete list. You can also find the module or modules which can be used to attain a particular feature here for the features listed here. This is just to show what is possible; we will have separate lists for modules separated into categories along with their usage details.

Working with Content - How to add Basic page, Article or any Content Type

Login to the website and click on the content tab in the administration panel or you can click on Add content shortcut below to black bar.

 

Now click on any content type under Add content and enter values for all mandatory fields then click on save.

Drupal is a content management system. So what is a content? Content is what the user sees. This page, which you are reading is content. 

 

Creating and publishing content

First, you need to create your content and publish it. Then it will be visible to other users.

To create a content, go to Content > Add Content and select the content type you need to create (e.g. Basic Page). 

Create content by filling all fields. 

Before saving, check if the publish option is selected under Publishing options.

Modules

Features of a Drupal system are represented by modules. There are some modules that come installed along with a fresh Drupal installation. These modules are called core modules. If you need more functionality you can any of the available contributed modules that have your functionality. There are a lot of them available and you can find them with a simple Google search. If you were not able to find a contributed module, then you can even write your own module.
